Hi, I’m Janet and welcome to The Fabric Shed. I proudly create bespoke soft furnishings for properties across Bath, Somerset and Wiltshire, bringing creativity, craftsmanship, attention to detail and genuine care together to make every house feel like a home.
I have twice won the prestigious City & Guilds Medal for Excellence. The first medal was awarded to me by the late prince Phillip at Buckingham Palace.
It all started 30 years ago with a degree in fashion and textiles, and a simple love of fine fabrics and beautiful design. Over the years, that passion has grown into a trusted Somerset business, known for creating beautiful bespoke, handcrafted curtains, blinds, and soft furnishings. Whether it’s a charming cottage in Frome, a modern home in Bruton, or a historic property in Bath or Wells, each piece is made with precision, passion, and an eye for detail.
I offer a gorgeous selection of fabrics from some of the most respected names in interior design, including, The Pure Edit, Sanderson, Morris & Co, Cabbages & Roses, Clarke & Clarke, Scion, Zoffany, Fryetts, iLiv, Porter & Ston, Harlequin, Voyage Maison and Riva Home. My services include:
Hand sewn curtains including pinch pleat, pencil pleat and wave headings.
Made-to-measure hand sewn Roman Blinds.
Beautifully crafted box cushions, scatter cushions and throws.
Paul my partner has over 20 years of experience in measuring, advising and fitting. He can supply curtain poles from Cameron Fuller, curtain tracks and headrails for Roman blinds.
He is also a specialise in bay window installations, measuring for a perfect fit and flawless finish.
To complete your look, we offer a wide range of roller, Venetian, vertical, Intu and Perfect Fit blinds, combining elegant design with everyday practicality.
